In April of 2004 a new indie band came on the scene. It was founded by Nao who was formerly in the bands Fatima and RusH. He recruited two former members of the Band Grivuss, Shou(vocalist) and Tora, to join him. Not long afterward the band was rounded out by both Saga and Hiroto to create Alice Nine.

As soon as they got together they headed right to work. By May they played their first live and by July they were already putting out their first maxi-single which sold out. Of course having a fan base already built by way of Grivuss helped out. By the time the second single press hit it sold out immediately as well. That meant that they had 4,000 copies sold within a very short time of forming.

From then they began to kick into high gear. They hit a short tour with the band Ayabie in which the finale at Shibuya O-crest sold out. Within a month afterwards they found themselves being signed up by PS Company. From then on they have been keeping themselves fairly busy by going on various tours and releasing music and enjoying their raising popularity.
