Info and Bio

Miyavi is a rambunctious, energetic, hyper and outgoing Japanese Rock Musician. People both love him and hate him for these qualities. But either way one has to admit he is never boring and always entertains with his quirkiness. He is about as predictable as his style.

I would say "let's start at the beginning of this magnificent story" but we honestly don't know much about the start of it all. We do know that he joined a small independent band called 'Due'le Quartz' in 1999. He was only 18 at the time and going under the moniker or Miyabi.

Due'le Quartz managed to build quite a following over the short time they were together. They were not the biggest band out there but they had gained a nice amount of popularity and attention before they disbanded in 2002. But that was not the end for Miyabi by a long stretch. He was headed for bigger things.

Shortly after the band broke up Miyabi announced that he was going solo. That was not the only change he had for the fans. Miyabi was changing the spelling of his name to Miyabi. But under the helm of PSC his first album Gagaku was released in November 2002. It contained a mixture off all the ideas that had been building up and gathering through the year that were finally able to be released.

Since then his career has taken off in an extraordinary way. He continues to put out highly versatile albums and singles picking up more following with each one. He has gained enough success that he was able to start in his very own move, 'Oresama' in 2003. In 2004 he was signed to a major record label, Universal Music. Now how can he be signed to them and still be with PSC you may ask. Easy. PSC is an artist management and distribution unit all in one company. He may be signed up to be distributed with Universal Music but PSC still manages his career.

While if you are not a fan you may not agree with the views that he is highly talented or deserving of this success but when it comes right down to the technical aspect he has earned his fan base with hard work and demonstrated extraordinary skills both playing and writing music. As for what comes next, only he knows.
