Ansa Uotani
Ansa Uotani otherwise known as "Uo" to her friends is the best friend of Tohru and Hana. Uo had a rough childhood. In fact she had been the member of an all girl gang. But after she met Tohru things changed. You see Tohru's mom, Kyoko, had once been a gang member herself. Kyoko's reputation was legendary. So much so that she was Uo's idol. In light of this Kyoko was able to persuade her to give up her gang and turn her life around. Uo has since vowed to be there for Tohru no matter what and do whatever she can for here especially since Kyoko's death.
Even though Uo still seems rough around the edges to most and can use her bad girl reputation to her advantage, which comes in real handy when trying to protect Tohru from the Yuki fan club girls, Tohru and Hana know that Uo is sweet and generous. She just wants to help her friends find happiness.
