The grandmother of Winry, Pinako is an expert when it comes to auto-mail. She may even tell you that she is the best there is. From designing to building and repairing she is the woman to see should you ever need a mechanical limb. While she can be a bit cranky and temperamental at times she exudes a genuine kindness.
Ever since Winry's parents died she has taken care of her granddaughter. And since she has known the Elric brothers their entire life she is entirely prepared to do the same for them once they lose there mother. However a larger calling grabs the boys and it isn't long after they take off leaving the woman they call Aunt Pinako, and Winry behind.
