Roy Mustang
On the surface there doesn't seem to be much to Roy at first. He seems to be rather superficial, caring only about promotions and chasing skirts. However there is so much more to be found once you begin to scratch the surface.
He is the legendary Flame Alchemist, both feared and revered. His talent is with a tiny spark he can make the air around him, anywhere he wants, combust and burst into flames. To help him with this he wears special gloves made out of a material in which all he has to do is snap his fingers and the fabric creates the spark he needs for ignition.
While he is well know for his deeds and accomplishments through war he hardly every speaks of it. In particular he is praised for his superior skill used during the Ishbalan war. He was one of the best fighters there is what they all say. But sometimes the darkness of battle is best left in the past. He has seen what the state has caused. He has witnessed first hand what they do to people. And he is unable to escape the horrendous things they made him do for them.
