Miroku
A lecherous monk who thinks only of the pleasures of women, well most of the time. Quite the ladies man he can be found wooing the girls in any village he enters. Most common question to start with "will you bear my children?".
He comes across the group when stumbling upon Kagome and Shippo while bathing. He then decided to take off with both Kagome and the sacred jewel shards in her possession. While at first Inu-yasha doesn't trust him they soon learn to tolerate each other and actually become friends. From then out Miroku devotes himself to helping gather the sacred jewel so that he can someday hope to defeat the hated Naraku who had placed a curse upon his family. Every generations male child is born with the dreaded wind tunnel in there right hand. While it is powerful and because of that has its advantages and uses it threatens to spread and one day consume Miroku's entire being. He has to kill Naraku before that time comes as it is the only way to remove the curse and save his life.
But things are not all so bad for our perverted monk. He has developed as strong of feelings for Sango as she has for he. The problem is that neither will admit it. While she spends her days in a jelous frenzy he spends his trying to woo her in all the wrong ways.
