What the blade children are has always been a mystery. Those that looked for the answer often vanish or worse. Ayumu Narumi's own brother was one of those unfortunates. Kiyotaka had vanished without a trace and Ayumu's life would be forever changed.
Ayumu found himself drawn to the very mystery of the blade children. Who are they? What are they? Why do they and those to close to them deserve such a fate? Perhaps if he could just unravel their mystery he could find his own lost brother. But the blade children aren't exactly interested in making new friends.
Slowly Ayumu is encountered by each one of these enigmatic beings. Each one try their best to test him both mentally and physically and to push him to his limits. Why they pretend it's a game the stakes are much to high and soon Ayumu and those he cares about end up wrapped tight into the blade childrens own dangerous world where even they are not safe.
