Kiba is the white wolf in search of paradise. He can't say why nor can he say how he will get there but something has been guiding him on this search his entire life. Its been like a voice calling his name and he has to get there. There is no wolf more determined or set in their path more than him. He will not fail once he strikes out to do something.

One by one he runs into the wolves that will make his journey with him. There is Hige, who is nice enough but doesn't always have the best common sense. Then there is Toboe, the pup of the group. He longs more than anything to believe in and find Kiba's paradise. He just knows how great it would be if they could find it, which is a large contrast from Tsume who thinks Kiba is just full of it.

While they are not exactly a real pack the Kiba does try to take some sort of guiding, protective control over the group. This of course is not so easy. Tsume is used to being a dominant wolf as well and is not so eager to follow Kiba's orders. But that's not really why Kiba's there, to try and be their leader. He was just following the sent of the flower in the first place. That's how he was led to them and their city. He had been drawn to the flower maiden.

Once Cheza, the flower maiden is by his side Kiba searches with a renewed passion. The flower is the key to help the wolf to paradise and he senses it. She was the one thing that he had been longing for the same way she had needed him. For him there is nothing in his life more precious or worth fighting for. Together they will open paradise, nothing will stand in his way.
