Policy
The Anime Fountain does allow fanart and fanfiction but there are conditionsand rules that apply. First and foremost you MUST be a member of the Anime Fountain Forum to submit your work. This is just one of the benefits enjoyed by those who chose to be a member there. This is to allow better access for me to post these at my leisure. I am just one person running this site without any extra support and I am in no way making money for maintaining it so I need every little edge to make the site run as smoothly as possible.
Once you are a member you may submit works that fall within the guidelines. These rules and guidelines are subject to change without any given warning so please check back frequently and before submitting. The major rules are as follows:
1) As said above you must belong to the Anime Fountain Forum. This makes it easier to keep track of things. Your membership is almost like your account. As long as you are a member you are allowed to contrubute to this section. If you leave the forum or if you are banned then I will take whatever you submitted down. This is to avoid possible conflicts.
2) There is NO pornographic or hentai material allowed at all! There are no exceptions to this rule for either fanfic or fanart. If it can be rated NC-17 then you have went to far. Furthermore there should be nothing in the line of nudity (nipples on girls, bare crotches, ect.) or sexual content in the fanart. Also take care not to submit anything too graphically violent in nature. These things will not be allowed. This rule is in place out of respect for those who may enter the site and because simply I don't want any trouble to come back on me over this.
3) It must be your own work. Please do not submit the work of a friend or things you have found lying around on the net. If something does not belong to you and you have gave it to the site it will be removed and actions will be taken.
4) All fanart submissions must me no larger than 1mb in size. Lower the resolution, compress it, resize it, do whatever it takes to get it within the size limit.
5) Keep a copy for your own records. If my server should happen to have a meltdown and all is lost then there is nothing I can do about it. You need to keep a copy for yourself incase something happens. I will not be keeping spare copies your works. If something should happen and the submissions are all lost you will be able to resubmit. You will in fact be urged to unless you no longer wish it to be posted.
6) No theft is allowed on any part. I ask that you do not use other authors original ideas or characters that are posted on this site or anyone else's for that matter. If someone is caught stealing someone else's work that submission will be immediately removed. By the same token I ask that people who come to this site do not steal the work of the authors contained within.
7) No real life fanfics allowed. These are fanfics that revolve around real people. I know this site is also for living people as well but fanfics for them are not allowed. Please people, it is just too creepy and can lead to plenty of trouble.
8) No flaming. This pertains to reviews or posts made on the site or forum over what is held within this section. It is one thing to critique and give your feedback and opinion but it is another to use a post for the sole purpose to berate and belittle an author or creator of any submission here.
9) No songfics at all. I personally do not think they have much going for them. I have a limited amount of space that I can set aside for the fans corner and I would rather fill it with something with more substance than the normal songfic. I realize there are some very good ones out there but for now I will not post any. Anything that holds copyrighted lyrics will be automatically rejected due to the industry not wanting them posted.
10) Slash or same sex relationships. This is a very tricky subject. There are people who love it and there are a lot of people who beyond hate it. My stance on this is I will allow a certain degree of it. Try to keep it nothing worse than Shounen-ai/Shoujo-ai(note* this is different from yaoi and yuri - porn without plot - which is NOT allowed. If you do NOT know the real difference then perhaps you should look somewhere else to post your work or check our fanfictionary to see the meanings). If it is sex and touchy feely heavy and no plot then I most likely will not post it under any rating at all. By the way all slash has to be announced in the rating line of the submission (that's in the file not the title). There will also be a disclaimer before every Shounen-ai/Shoujo-ai story so that no one can say I did not warn them of same sex relationships.
11) Finally and importantly, your fanart or fanfiction must deal with Anime, Manga or Video games characters and worlds. That's what this site is for and about. Fanfics and art pertaining to things outside site topics will not be allowed. Fanart having to do with things from the Japanese culture in some what will also be allowed.
The Anime fountain Reserves the right to reject or refuse to accept any submission at anytime. The right is also reserverd to remove any item located within the fanscorner without warning or noted reason.
