The Anime Fountain is about much more then just Anime. You can find sections for Voice Actors, Video Games, Asian Music and more. But how did we come about?
The Anime Fountain got it’s humble beginnings as a yahoo group. The group was founded by Angel Feb 15, 2005 as a safe place for people to gather to talk and have fun while doing it. There seemed to be a real lack of ‘decent’ communities at the time. The group was also to be a place people go to, to find plenty of information from multiple sources all in the same place. From News to Release dates items were gathered and posted in one convenient location.
After a few months the group opened Angel decided that it may be time to put her html skills that were going to waste to good use. The development of the Anime Fountain website began and in March 2005 opened it’s doors for the first time.
The site was to be a directory of information and pictures from many games, shows and actors so that people wouldn’t need to scan all over the net just to find the information they needed. While the growth in the sections would be considered slow by some peoples standard it has continued to push on in information, features and looks.
The site is maintained and added to by Angel but a few volunteers have emerged to help gather section information and get them ready to be put in good order. They pass the info on to Angel who then takes it and turned it into the site sections. Of course being non-profit and ran by volunteers Anime Fountain is always looking for new and interesting people to contribute in any way they can.
