Strago Magus
A kindly old gentleman who lives with his granddaughter in the village of Thamasa, Strago at first seems quite distant and aloof when the party first meets him. It's obvious that he is hiding something, but it isn't until later that he reveals what he knows about his town and his own heritage.
Strago is soft spoken and quiet though his is fiercely protective of Relm, his granddaughter, and is willing to do anything to protect her. He has some past issues with a monster named Hidon that he had spent his entire youth trying to hunt down, without any success, and he fears now that he will never get to chance to settle the score with it.
In battle, Strago utilizes the skill of a Blue Mage, which allows him to learn the special attacks and spells used against him by monsters that he faces. He must be hit with and survive the spell in order to learn it. Once he has learned it, he can call upon the Lore at any time. Otherwise, he is quite proficient in the uses of rods and staves to get the job done. His magic levels are fairly good, on level with Relm's.
