A hot blooded youth, Richter is the Belmont that defeated Count Dracula in a massive battle five years ago. Four years after the battle, one year before the start of the game, he vanished during a full moon, and no has seen or heard from him since.
Richter's role in Symphony is unknown at first. It is believed that he is in the castle somewhere, but no one knows how he got there or what he is doing. It is how you handle his situation that determines which one of four different endings you receive once you finish the game.
Unlockable as a playable character after defeating the regular game in the Playstation version, and available from the start in the Saturn version, Richter uses the classic Belmont whip and subweapons. He does not gain levels like Alucard does, so he must collect heart and Hp Max Ups along the way to increase his stats. His game, like Maria's, has no dialogue and no cutscenes.
